  • Nigel Godefroy

    Chair

    Nigel has been Chair of the City Centre Company since 2018. Well known in the area, Nigel was previously CEO of Sutton Harbour and was responsible for much of the award winning regeneration around the harbour area.  A commercially minded Chartered Accountant, Nigel also sits on the Board of Destination Plymouth and is a shadow Board Director of the Box. For the past nine  years Nigel has been a Trustee of Plymouth Marine Laboratory where he also chairs the audit committee and is also a Governor of the Arts University Plymouth and a trustee of Dame Hannah Rogers.  Other previous roles include Deputy Chair of the Barbican Trust, a Commissioner for Cattewater Harbour and a Director of Resound Health which built health facilities in Plymouth including Mount Gould Hospital.

  • Greg Lumley

    Centre Director Drake Circus and The Barcode

    Greg is Centre Director for British Land and oversees their estate including Drake Circus, the Barcode and their high street properties. Greg has worked in Plymouth for over 12 years and prior to moving to Plymouth he was Centre Manager of Westfield London. Greg started his career working for an independent retailer and has been an active board member of both the BID and Growth Board for many years.

    Plymouth Community Homes

    John is Chief Executive of Plymouth Community Homes (PCH), the city’s largest social housing provider, Chair of the National Housing Federation’s SW Regional Forum and has experience in the leadership and management of housing, regeneration and public services, locally, regionally and nationally.

  • Councillor Mark Lowry

    Plymouth City Council

    Mark was born and has always lived in Plymouth and joined the Dockyard at 16 as an apprentice and worked his way up to become the Director for Nuclear Infrastructure. He is also a long standing Labour Councillor, the cabinet member responsible for the City Finances and Plymouth City Centre

  • Clare Baker

    Plymouth and Devon Chamber

    Clare is the Membership Experience Manager at the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce. With 24 years previous experience in Financial Services and 9 + in hospitality, she has always been committed to supporting local business and communities to grow and is passionate about the southwest. She is currently also on the board of Ahimsa and has previously been on the board of St Luke’s Hospice, All Saints Academy and The Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.

  • Ian Warmington

    Plymouth Against Retail Crime (PARC)

    Ian Warmington has been the Business Crime Manager for Plymouth Against Retail Crime (PARC) since 2011.  He was previously the general manager of Derrys Department Store for ten years and also worked for ASDA and BHS. Ian also runs his own businesses, Haberdashery, in Armada Way and Trutex Schoolwear in Billacombe Road.

  • Trevor Wills

    University of Plymouth

    Trevor is Director of Estates & Facilities at the University of Plymouth where he has responsibility for services ranging from the capital build programme through to day-to-day running of the campuses. He is a Chartered Surveyor whose career has spanned the NHS, private practice consultancy and the not-for-profit sector, as well as higher education. Trevor is the current Chair of the University Design Forum which is a charity dedicated to the promotion of excellence and best practice throughout the university environment. He has had two stints as a board member of the Plymouth City Centre Company and believes its strength is in the influence and energy that everyone involved can bring to it.

  • Mark Collins

    Plymouth City Bus

    Mark started working for Plymouth Citybus in 2011, after graduating from Plymouth University and working in retail for a number of years in Plymouth. Due to the expansion of Plymouth Citybus in 2020 in to Cornwall and Devon, Mark is now Head of Commercial for Go South West, the biggest public transport provider in the region. Part of the Go Ahead Group, Mark sits and feeds into national and international transport projects. Local Mark

     sits on various working groups across the Southwest around transport, climate and innovation. In his spare time Mark enjoys cycling and is a father to two young boys, who keep him very busy! 

  • James Clark

    Marks & Spencer

    James Clark is a retail manager with more than 30 years’ experience in the industry. He is General

    Manager of Marks and Spencer in Plymouth and has a good knowledge of the city and the wider

    South West having lived and worked in the region for many years. He is an experienced director

    having served on boards including Exeter BID, Plymouth City Centre Company, Templer Academy

    Schools Trust and Education South West.

  • Raj Srinivasan

    Copthorne Hotel

    My name is Raj Srinivasan, and I am the General Manager of the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth Millennium Hotels & Resorts Group. With a 24-year career in the sector, including five-star properties such as Hilton, Le Meridien, Sheraton Starwood, Accor Sofitel, Mecure, and Millennium hotels and resorts. Completed a master’s degree in hospitality and tourism management and worked in all departments of the hotel. It’s a passion, a dedication that is shown in the emphasis on providing exceptional customer service, which is the true cornerstone of industry success.

  • Victoria Pomery

    The Box

    Victoria Pomery was appointed CEO of The Box in Plymouth in October 2021. The Box, Plymouth’s newest cultural organisation, opened in 2020 following significant capital investment. The Box is an award-winning museum, gallery and archive at the heart of the life of the city.  

    Victoria was awarded an OBE for services to the arts in 2012 and an Honorary Doctorate from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2020.  

    Victoria has worked in several arts organisations including Warwick Arts Centre and Tate Liverpool.  In 2002, she was appointed as the founding Director of Turner Contemporary to develop an arts organisation in Margate as part of a strategy of cultural-led regeneration.  

  • James Mackenzie-Blackman

    Theatre Royal

    James grew up in Plymouth and South Devon. After concluding his education, he spent two years working overseas in Nepal, Europe and North America.

    After University in Liverpool, James spent 14 years working in London at Greenwich
    Theatre, the Lyric Hammersmith, as Executive Director of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and then as Executive Director of Sir Matthew Bourne’s award-winning dance company New Adventures.

    James was appointed Chief Executive of Eden Court, Scotland’s largest single-site arts venue in 2017 and during his tenure steered the company through a period of significant growth and change.

    James is regularly invited to speak at conferences and events in the UK and overseas. He is a trustee of the Compass Partnership of Schools.

    James took up post as Chief Executive of the Theatre Royal Plymouth in January 2022.

  • Joanne High

    Vickery Holman

    Joanne grew up in Essex which is where she started her career as a commercial agent. In 2012 she relocated to the South West and joined Vickery Holman where she obtained her RICS qualification. Joanne is now Head of Commercial Agency and oversees the commercial agency team across Vickery Holman’s 4 offices. Day to day she deals with the sale, letting and acquisition of all types of commercial property which includes properties within the city centre. Joanne deals with businesses looking for properties as well as investors, developers and landowners.

    Adam Spiers is Managing Director of Michael Spiers, the South West’s leading watch and jewellery retailer.

    He is a passionate supporter of Plymouth City Centre and is actively involved in a number of initiatives within the local community.
