Message from our chief executive

Dear all,

Our main concern at this really difficult time is for your health and wellbeing and for your employees, colleagues and families.

But we know this is an economic crisis, as well as a health crisis.

So, we hope the lockdown announced by the government yesterday will slow the spread of the virus and that the public take notice of the new restrictions.

At the moment none of us know how long this will last but we hope that you come through this and will be able to reopen again soon.

I want you to know that we are working flat out behind the scenes to look after your interests and that the priority for you is to gain access to government cash.

Advice from the government on its grants for business came through to Plymouth City Council yesterday.

The council is now working on setting up a system to enable you to apply for those cash grants as soon as possible.

We will tell you how to apply as soon as that information becomes available.

If you need help in filling out the forms, we can help with that.

In the meantime, you can keep up to date with business information here: https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/invest/business-support/covid-19

We would also urge you to complete the Business assist form here: http://www.citycentrebid.co.uk/2020/03/20/covid-19-business-assistance/ and return to invest@plymouth.gov.uk

To stay in touch with us, please make sure you sign up for our digital BID newsletters: https://confirmsubscription.com/h/d/2A7A3EFCFE9C3D21  or contact me directly at steve.hughes@citycentrebid.co.uk with any concerns or questions.

We are here to help.
