Small Business Grants are Being Paid Out Now

Make sure you are signed up.

Small business support grants are now being paid to hundreds of businesses across Plymouth.

Yourcity centre Business Improvement District (BID) has been working with PlymouthCity Council to make sure all eligible businesses get this grant funding assoon as possible.

Butwe know that some businesses in lockdown may not have received their grantfunding letter, or the council business rates team may not have a correct emailaddress.

Ifyou think you are eligible and have not received a letter or email, you can nowcall the following helpline number:  01752 308984 between 7am and7pm.

Steve Hughes, chief executive of the Plymouth City Centre Company which runs the BID, said:

“ We have been working with the council to get this information to our businesses as soon as possible and vital funds into bank accounts. The council response has been fantastic to get this  process moving so quickly.”

Grantsare available to the following businesses:

  • Anybusiness currently in receipt of Small Business Rate Relief will be eligiblefor a £10,000 grant
  • Anyretail, hospitality or leisure business in receipt of Expanded Rate RetailDiscount with a rateable value of less than £51,000 will be eligible for agrant per property based on eligibility criteria below:
    • Anyretail, hospitality or leisure business with a rateable value of £15,000 orbelow will be eligible for a £10,000 grant
    • Anyretail, hospitality or leisure business with a rateable value above £15,000 andbelow £51,000 will be eligible for a £25,000 grant

Ifyour business falls within the above criteria and you have not received aletter, or have been unable to access your business premises please contact thehelpline number.

Weexpect this number to be busy, so if you have received your letter and are ableto complete the form without assistance please do so. This will enable thehelpline team to help those who need assistance in other ways.

Onceyou have completed the form the team will be working as quickly as possible toprocess submissions and make payments directly into business bank accountswithin 10 days.
