Virtual Santa Fun Run

Regrettably, this year's Plymouth Santa Fun Run could not be run safely with Covid measures in place, but instead they will be running the Plymouth Virtual Santa Fun Run, to be held on the weekend of 5th/6th December 2020. This could be bigger than ever!

Steve Hughes, City Centre Company Chief Exec, said:
“It’s such a shame that we can’t hold the Santa Fun Run this year but we are delighted to support the virtual event to raise money for such good causes.”

As in previous years the event will be supporting two vitally important local charities Dame Hannahs and Shekinah, plus other local charities supported by Rotary.

Entrants will run their own Santa Fun Run in their own Covid-compliant groups or individually in a venue of their choice - around 4km for adults, 2.5km for under 18s.

The entry fee will be £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for children, and the Rotary are encouraging everyone to raise additional money by way of sponsorship - the sky is the limit - the target is £10,000.

We are encouraging all entrants to post photos of themselves, both in training and on the event, on social media and to send them to us in accordance with the attached poster - the best of which will be posted on Plymouth Live and published in the Herald.

We would love for our city centre businesses to get involed in this and either take part in the virtual event or help spread the word by popping a poster in your shop window or mentioning it in your social media postings.
