Invitation to the e-cargo bike workshop
Researchers at the University of Plymouth are actively addressing the pressing challenges of first/last-mile logistics that impede cities’ path to net-zero goals; and inviting local businesses to participate in a workshop. They are seeking involvement from retailers, trade professionals, social enterprises, charities, and public organisations that are currently using e-cargo bikes, have used them in the past, or are interested in adopting e-cargo bikes for the delivery of goods and services.
Their project aims to explore the experiences and perspectives of local businesses on the use of e-cargo bikes for their deliveries of goods/services; and identify potential approaches and strategies to increase e-cargo bike adoption in Plymouth.
This workshop is part of a participatory research study, where researchers and participants will have a collaborative discussion to develop a shared research agenda and explore potential solutions. The workshop will provide a casual environment where participants can share their experiences and insights on the preparations, requirements, and challenges faced by local businesses when adopting e-cargo bikes.
The workshop will take place at the University of Plymouth on the following dates.
• 23rd June 09:30 – 12:30, followed by lunch
• 27th June 09:30 – 12:30, followed by lunch
Potential workshop participants will receive a £100 honorarium payment for their time and insights.
If you are interested in the project, please complete the short survey. The research team will contact you regarding the workshop once you have completed the survey.
