The popular Plymouth Christmas Market returns to the Piazza

Head to the Plymouth Christmas Market, on the Piazza, Armada Way, from Thursday 28 November to Sunday 15 December for all the festive sights, smells and atmosphere, right in the heart of Plymouth’s city centre.

Visit the wonderful festive log cabins, festooned with twinkly fairy lights and colourful garlands, home to over 50 traders selling a wide range of unique gifts, crafts, clothing, bespoke jewellery and festive treats.

Brighten up your home with handmade pottery and ceramics, or scented fruit from Olivia’s House and find the perfect personalised Christmas decorations from On the Rocks.

Discover a delicious range of food and drink, where visitors can enjoy a spiced mulled wine or cider and some tantalizing sweet and savory treats - from Churros and crepes to Yorkshire pudding wraps and German swing grill - there’s plenty of choice for all tastes. The Early Bird will be tempting shoppers with their brownies, cinnamon rolls, hot sausage rolls, freshly baked bread and much more.

Food and drink also make the perfect gift - browse the stalls to find some tasty giftsets, including award-winning rums from the Devon Rum Co. plus Retroshotz and GandTea, to name a few. Discover over 35 Flavours of Fudge from the Great British Fudge Company or choose delicious cheese truckles in colourful waxes from Nibble Nose Cheese.

Visitors will find a wonderful selection of bespoke jewellery, clothes and accessories from cosy scarves to delicate handmade earrings, whether shopping for yourself or your loved ones.

Plymouth Christmas Market is free to attend and open from Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 6pm, on Sundays from 10am to 5pm and open until 9pm for late night shopping each Thursday.

This year’s festive entertainment includes daily performances from local schools, university and community choirs, plus a mix of Jazz, steel bands, favourite covers and Christmas tunes. Enjoy performances from Manuka, Hot House Combo, Bee Jarvis, Jon Fazal & Ben, Real Steel and Ocean City Radio – all adding to the festive cheer.

Stiltwalkers dressed in vibrant Christmas themed costumes will be roaming the Christmas market and interacting with the crowds, every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. They will be dressed as Candy Canes, Snow Queens, Sparkly Elves, Red Christmas and Sugar Plum Fairies, and will be happy to join you in a photograph. More great selfie spots include the giant illuminated bauble and colourful wave - perfect locations for that memorable Christmas selfie with family and friends.

Steve Hughes, Chief Executive of the Plymouth City Centre Company, said: “This is one of our big events of the year. We have added to the entertainment, so it’s a great opportunity to come in with family and friends, get into the Christmas spirit, soak up the atmosphere and support our traders and city centre businesses.”

Jess Bolt, Marketing Manager, Plymouth Citybus, said: “We’re thrilled to continue our support as sponsors of the Plymouth Christmas Market this year. It's always a joy to be part of such a festive and vibrant event, and we can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the Christmas spirit in the heart of our city”.

Aaron Silcock, Vospers Group Assistant Sales Director, said: “As a long-standing Plymouth, family run business Vospers are proud to be sponsoring the Plymouth Christmas Market this year, and we’re looking forward to showcasing our impressive fleet of vehicles. On the Piazza you’ll be able to see the brand new Omoda, the new all electric Ford Capri and the impressive MG Cyberster to name just a few! And even if a new car or van isn’t on your Christmas list, we have exciting competitions for you to enter! We look forward to seeing you there”.

The Plymouth Christmas Market is brought to you by the Plymouth City Centre Company, and part-funded by the UK government Shared Prosperity Fund. The market is sponsored by Plymouth Citybus and Vospers.
